Sharon is the Founder of the Guild of Future Architects. Her work focuses on reframing the relationship between creativity, capital, and impact. She develops interdisciplinary projects within an ecosystem of operations that includes Yoxi, her impact investment practice dedicated to funding inquiry; 19340, her film financing and production company behind notable films such as BAFTA-nominated The Eagle Huntress; and her experimental family office that examines how wealth intersects with culture and society.

Jen Wilson

Jen Wilson

ES Co-leader, Director of Partnerships

Jen is a future architect with over 20 years of experience developing and strengthening public and private partnerships across the globe. Through her background in international education, Jen built, designed and scaled successful programs, and worked with government, corporations, and foundations to implement international scholar exchange programs. Jen is a coach and as the Director of Partnerships at the Guild Jen focuses on connecting people, teams, and organizations to the Guild's purpose and mission.

Mark Beam

ES Co-leader, Board Member

Mark is a member of the Guild's Board of Directors and a founding partner of Heartland P5 Holdings, LLC. a Public Benefit Corporation whose mission is to deploy regenerative strategies and technologies for carbon drawdown. The primary driver is StudioLab, an R&D driven design firm aggregating regenerative capabilities into a shareable guidance and operating system for local economies.

May Lee

May Lee

ES Co-leader, Board Member

Over the last eight years, May has led two groundbreaking innovations in higher education: NYU Shanghai and ShanghaiTech. Utilizing her experience in various industries (financial services, education, and marketing), insight into entrepreneurship and deep understanding of the innovation ecosystem in China and the U.S., May offers strategic advice to large organizations on change management and digital transformation. Moreover, her ability to bridge academic research and product development gives her a unique ability to drive innovation within an organization.

Manager of Operations

Semhar is a proud daughter of immigrants with a background in performance art, education and community organizing. She has a passion for developing leaders, building people power, and strives to amplify the voices of the historically disenfranchised. She strongly believes in giving people the tools needed for our collective liberation. As the Manager of Operations at the Guild, Semhar is focused on building organizational infrastructure so that we can efficiently carry out our 100 year mission.

Evan Blaise Walsh

Programs Manager

Evan Walsh is a writer, photographer, curator, producer, and facilitator. Previously, as Exhibitions Manager for artist collective For Freedoms, Evan coordinated the team behind the 50 State Initiative and For Freedoms Congress. Now as Program Manager for the Guild, Evan manages Learning Programs and the cultivation of members in GoFA's curatorial frameworks. His practice—through curation, community building, facilitation, and matters of the soul—is rooted in a commitment to create spaces of imagining boldly, overcoming transgressive societal forces, and awakening of the inner spiritual self.

Sheena Matheiken

Designer, Communications & Digital Experience

Sheena is a filmmaker and designer who works across the broad realms of independent cinema & interdisciplinary design. At GoFA, Sheena works closely with Sharon Chang to conceive, design and execute the Guild's brand vision across all platforms — digital, physical and experiential. When not pushing pixels Sheena makes films with her partner, Maximón Monihan. Together, they co-run ¡Bricolagista!, a subterranean filmmaking collective creating cinema that transcends borders, genre, and industry convention.

Claudia Peña

Claudia Peña

Community Facilitator

Claudia is a Future Architect who often lives outside of the time-space continuum. She time travels through all the worlds of fiction to find truth and wonder. She also spends inordinate amounts of time contemplating trauma in all its facets and healing in all its beauty. After decades of serving as an activist/ grass-roots organizer/movement attorney/teacher, she’s thought a lot about how we gather. So, here at the Guild, Claudia helps foster a Community of Practice.

Designer & Facilitator, Group Dynamics Dojo

Jacob is a thought partner for GoFA team members and Shared Futures seeking to improve individual, team, organizational effectiveness. Prior projects range from executive producing a Whole Foods Market TV series to conducting futurist research for Vancity Credit Union to developing product strategy for Adobe. A student of meditation for over 27 years, Jacob now teaches around the world. Jacob holds a B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Mysticism from NYU, and is currently a visiting scholar at NYU’s ITP.

Micheline Berry

Designer & Facilitator, 5C Meditation

Micheline is a Somatic Artist, Embodiment Catalyst, Post-Modern Dancer, and Spoken Word Weaver. She has spent the past 25 years exploring embodiment as a way to heal trauma and reconstruct new narratives of resilience, identity, and radical imagination through the body. Micheline designs and directs GoFA’s 5C Immersive Meditation Program, an embodiment atelier to spark radical imagination in the body, from individual explorations to complex collaborative bodies.

Writer, Foresight Strategist, Future Architect. Clearly Madebo loves weird titles and takes imagination very seriously. He brings these passions and formal training in both creative writing and strategic foresight to the Guild's Futurist Writers' Room, where we design and facilitate experiences to help people inhabit the futures they are building as fully as possible and pull them closer to reality.

Tony is a future architect with a penchant for creating fictional worlds which have catapulted him into future-facing residencies and galvanized his Community-World building practice. When he's not advocating for underrepresented students to embark on game design/tech careers, he's generating new artworks, prototypes, and solutions for communities-at-large.

A graduate of LACHSA and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Robert is a future architect tinkering, building, and designing at the crossroads of art, culture, and technology with a dedication to beauty, justice, and inclusive imagination.  Through his family creative practice at Sinclair Futures, and GoFA’s Futurist Writers Room, Robert’s art  focuses on world building and storytelling aimed at inspiring the imagination of a future we actually want to live in.

A member of Guild of Future Architects' Futurist Writers Room, Lafayette’s practice engages projects at the intersection of urban planning and speculative fiction. He leverages the radical imagination and world building capabilities of speculative fiction and the multi-disciplinary, strategic implementation tools of urban planning in order to imagine, plan, and build a more equitable, just, and sustainable future.

Currently serving as a Board Member of GoFA, Cara's career has spanned leadership roles in public television, non-profits arts, and philanthropy, focusing on supporting hundreds of moving image artists as leaders through funding, mentorship and leadership development. Her efforts bridge traditionally marginalized voices into mainstream dialogue and center at the nexus of moving image expression and social justice impact.

Elissa Blount Moorhead

Board Member

Elissa Blount Moorhead is an artist and director investigating the poetics of quotidian Black life. Elissa has created film, public art, exhibitions, and cultural programs for the last 25 years in NYC. She was recently awarded the Comedy Central Award and the Women at Sundance Adobe Fellowship.

Thomas Debass

Thomas Debass

Board Member

Thomas is a member of the Guild's Board of Directors and is a senior leader and public servant with the Federal Government. Thomas has played a leading role in promoting and institutionalizing the role of public-private partnerships and foresight as a tool for advancing foreign policy and development objectives. He regularly gives lectures and talks about the intersection of policy, business, and society.
